Editorial Note

Dear Friends of INEB,

In this issue, we are sharing INEB’s many activities which took place in 2023. We invite you to read the country reports and article by the Spirit in Education Movement. We also honor the passing of dear friends Jane Rasbash, Arnold Mindell, Chaiwat Satha-Anand, Bamrung Kayotha, and James C Scott who made many significant contributions to peace and people’s movements in Siam and in Southeast Asia.

We hope to see many of you at INEB’s 21st International Biennial conference which will take place in Tamil Nadu, India. Please refer to the conference’s concept note – Buddhist Heritage Towards Inclusive Societies which provides a detailed overview of the conference and its diverse sub-themes which touch on: Archeological Just and Community Participation; Dialogue Interface Among Marginalized Communities on Gender, Social Justice an Inclusiveness; and Ecological Temples and Sustainability.
